Formerly, SLDetails, nice and short name, but as soon as I posted about it on blogrums, someone told me that it was against Second Life policy to use one common term with SL for a site name. So they called for it, it's SLTwistedDetails now, which I like better than SLDetails anyway.
A few years ago I made a site called SLHotPop (maybe some of you remember that one) that was collecting votes and rating for places. I did it totally the wrong way and it didn't succeed at all. My idea this time is a little bit different, it's about residents now, I think I should have started with that.
So does how it work? You need a HUD (free) that you can get at my place here : http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wildspitze/171/134/22 or on XStreet here: http://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?na ... ID=2086045
Then you wear it and can register on the site here:http://sltwisteddetails.com/ (touch the HUD and click Add me...). You can also register your lands if you are so inclined.
Now once you are registered, you get a password from the HUD, and you can login into the site. Once logged you can select your interests and your skills from a list. Now people can search for you.
For example, you are looking for a DJ: you select DJ as interest
You are a DJ and looking for clubs, you select DJ as skill
It's not necessarily employment/commercial stuff, it can be any kind of interest/skill. What I really need is some feedback on the skills/interests categories, I'd appreciate it very much. I'm going to give a way to add your own interests later, and after that a vote/rating system for skilled residents and lands.
Of course the more people registred into the site the more it will become interesting. We are 4 actually (well 3 because one is my alt...) which doesn't provide much content. It's up to you if you want to make it live or not.
